Lymphatic Massage

Lymphatic System The lymphatic system is a complicated network of vessels, ducts, and nodes that move fluid between the cells and tissues. It is the most underrated part of the circulatory system in the human body and has a crucial role in preventing sickness and keeping us healthy.

Lymphatic SystemOur lymphatic system is primarily responsible for carrying disease-fighting material to cells attacked by germs, transporting the dead germs away and supplying protein-rich plasma fluid back to the heart. When this system is blocked, we become defenceless against attacks by virus, fungi, and bacteria.

Lymphatic Drainage Massage is a profound technique to help increase the bodies natural flow of lymph by increasing lymphatic circulation through the body's natural filtration systems. This increased circulation assists in detoxifying the body and supports our health through a better functioning immune system.

Lymphatic Massage has been proven to be helpful for clients suffering from lack of energy, a sluggish immune system, emotional stress and depression, sports related injuries and cases where auxiliary lymph nodes have been removed.

Other applications include:

  • Depressed immune response due to poor production of white blood cells
  • Chronic fatigue syndrome and frequent colds or flu
  • Skin disorders including acne, eczema, poor complexion, etc.
  • Digestive disorders
  • Oedema (swelling) or all kinds.
  • Sinus congestion
  • Tension headaches
  • Muscle sprains or broken bones (above and below the site of the break)
  • Allergies
  • Insomnia
  • Toothache
  • Cellulite
  • Circulatory problems
  • Emotional stress and depression

Lymphatic Massage is an excellent addition to every massage therapists practice. Its extremely gentle, rhythmic moves can "go" where other techniques like Deep Tissue and Swedish cannot, such as working with swollen areas.
